Considering some upgrades to your home while watching your spending? The following are relatively easy, increase the value of your home, and are cost-effective!

Paint the kitchen cabinets. Simply remove the doors and hardware; sand, paint a new color. Go bold or, paint a neutral tone and add accents in a bold color.

Replace hardware for cabinets in kitchen and bathroom. Modernize knobs and handles. While you’re at it, get some new light switch plates too; they can be painted anyway you’d like.

Add visible storage. Floating shelves are a simple and pleasing-to-the-eye solution.

Make walls elegant with moldings. With proper tools, this is relatively easy. Both crown and panel molding add ambience and charm.

Frame a bathroom mirror. Add a decorative baseboard trim to make a world of difference.

Hang high, wide curtains to small windows. The illusion of a larger window makes the room feel more spacious.

Add new touches outdoors. Repaint the front door, add new shutters, plant bright flowers in window boxes. Increase curb appeal with new outdoor fixtures, new mailbox, and pretty trim along flower beds.
