Spring is in the air! Let's celebrate the 51st anniversary of Earth Day by being outdoors. There's lots to do in the South Bay this weekend.

 

EARTH MONTH AT ROUNDHOUSE AQUARIUM     The Roundhouse Aquarium in Manhattan Beach is enjoying its grand re-opening, and  is celebrating Earth Day all month long. Register via their website for these great programs that explore the magic of the ocean, its connection to humans, and how to protect it:

Saturday, April 17: "Celebrating Whales and Dolphins," from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.

Thursday, April 22: "The Ocean in your Bathtub," virtual reading by the author from 5 to 5:45 p.m.

Saturday, April 24: "Amazing Tidepools," from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.

 

TERRANEA NATURE WALK     Home to many gorgeous species of native plants and animals, Terranea Resort has events activities going on throughout spring for everyone to enjoy. Their Self-Guided Nature Walk invites guests to appreciate stunning ocean vistas while learning about regional wildlife. SOUTH COAST BOTANIC GARDEN DOG WALK     This Sunday, April 18 and each third Sunday of the month, the SCBG invites dogs (on leash) to bring their persons for a stroll through beautiful garden grounds all day long (9am – 5pm). DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN BEACH SIDEWALK SALE     Plenty of sun is forecasted for the fun going on Friday-Sunday at the annual Sidewalk Sale, close to the sea in Manhattan Beach. Some stores start on Thursday night with a “sneak peek”, regular store and restaurant hours are in effect. Learn more.

 

SPRING INTO BEAUTY     Manhattan Village Mall welcomes Style on the Spot’s delightful spring event with lots of treats to please the senses, on Saturday, April 17, noon-4pm. REDONDO HIGH PRESENTS "THE ADDAMS FAMILY"     Anyone who enjoys these kooky, creepy characters will love this comical  feast embracing their quirks and stories.
